Stream 1: Leadership & Unity
This workshop series is focused on living in harmony and helping to break down barriers that impede equality.
- Workshop 1) What is Anti-Black Racism?
When we look at our current social climate the roots of anti-black racism lie within colonization but like a tree, most of us have not seen its roots. This era in time has had a profound impact on how the world views and interacts with black people in addition to how black people view and interact with themselves. Although we are aware that anti-black racism exists, many of us are unaware of the depth of its impact. In this workshop we will examine the systemic barriers within our society (both physical and mental) that were birthed during this era that still hinder the growth and success of black people today. The focus of this workshop is to enable participants to be able to better understand and identify the different elements that allow anti-black racism to exist and thrive.
- Workshop 2) Unity and the Power of Teamwork
“Alone we can do so little and together we can do so much”. This simple quote says a lot in few words and reflects of our societal successes. Throughout the beginning of time there have been several movements that have changed the course of history, from civil rights movements to women rights movements. The need for individuals to be a part of positive change is always clear and present but why are some campaigns successful and others failures? This Workshop will explore the key elements necessary to build a successful movement and the power that only collective action can bring.
This workshop is focused on living in harmony and helping to break down barriers that impede equality.
- Workshop 3) Action Plan
We all have a responsibility to make the world a better place. Those who accept this responsibility will not only improve their environments but will also increase their value and ability to improve their own lives. In this workshop, participants will be tasked with putting together a 30-day challenge (time frame can be adjusted). This challenge will have the objectives that will require students to incorporate the information that they have learned in the previous two workshops in order to improve their communities.

Stream 2: Leadership & Self Workshop Series
This workshop series is focused on personal self-development and growth.
-
- Workshop 1) Self Awareness
To be aware is to be consistently mindful of one’s situation and environment. Awareness is a powerful tool! This workshop will reintroduce participants to themselves and to their life. Many of us are complacent and living blindly. This workshop will increase participants’ awareness of their emotions, actions, and mindset. The workshop will empower participants by giving them the tool to self-assess. Participants who apply these lessons to their life will enhance their ability to make better decisions and to achieve greater happiness and success.
- Workshop 2) Self Love
In this workshop, we will analyze all the components that play a significant role in forming the concept of “self.” The different components of “self” are like our five senses—each sense provides a crucial service that allow us to function at a high level. Through this workshop, participants will gain tools that will improve their ability to understand how to love themselves in addition to the world around them.
- Workshop 3) Action Plan
We all have a responsibility to make the world a better place. Those who accept this responsibility will not only improve their environments but will also increase their value and ability to improve their own lives.

Stream 3: Leadership & the Environment Series
This workshop series is focused on taking greater individual responsibility to live in a cleaner and healthier environment.
- Workshop 1) Our Water Crisis
Water is one of the greatest gifts known to mankind. It is the basis of all life forms and is critical for human survival. To truly appreciate water is to know the feeling of being thirsty. Everyone has been thirsty at some point—everyone has needed water. So, it is strange that no alarms bells have sounded when it comes to our fresh water supply. Climate change is wreaking havoc on our most important resources and it is time for us to wake up.
This workshop will provide participants with a look into the nature and impact of our daily water consumption, and the things that we can all do to preserve this irreplaceable resource.
- Workshop 2) Our Habit of Waste and its Impact
This workshop will address our wasteful habits and what those habits create: a lot of garbage. Humans have become consumer-driven animals. Our desires for entertainment, food, and other commodities continues to skyrocket. As time passes, many of these items and their packaging end up in landfills. As a result, garbage around the world is piling up and is impacting not only our own health, but the health of all other animal species.
- Workshop 3) Action Plan
We all have a responsibility to make the world a better place. Those who accept this responsibility will not only improve their environments but will also increase their value and ability to improve their own lives.
