Workshops
Pillar 1: Power Of Thought
This workshop will empower participants to understand their thoughts’ profound impact on themselves and those around them. As creators of our thoughts and words, we hold the power to shape our outcomes. To become champions, we must intentionally choose thoughts and words that uplift and empower us. Through this session, participants will gain valuable insights into the power of intentionality and how it can positively fuel their personal and collective growth. Let’s harness the power of our minds to create a ripple effect of positivity and success.
“What we do comes out of who we believe we are.”-Rob Bell
Pillar 2: Me, Myself & I
Everything begins and ends with us, shaping the foundation of “Who I Am.” Embracing responsibility for our successes and failures unlocks our potential for growth and achievement. This workshop is created to help students build their brands and identities while fostering a deeper sense of self-accountability. Participants will also delve into various aspects of holistic well-being and discover how these influence their reality. The objective is to empower students to cultivate a stronger, more intentional connection with the most significant person they will ever meet, “Me, Myself, and I.”
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” -Eleanor Roosevelt
Pillar 3: Communication 101
Communication is at the heart of personal growth and well-being. In this workshop, students will explore the seeds of communication, focusing on the power of self-talk and its ripple effects on their lives and interactions with others. Our self-talk shapes how we see ourselves and how we engage with the world. This session will offer practical tips to elevate students’ mindsets, strengthen their communication skills, and boost their self-image, empowering them to communicate with confidence and purpose.
“The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn’t said.” -Peter Drucker
Pillar 4: Decision or Indecision
Quick! If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Think about it and answer. We are all familiar with this process, which yields different results for everyone. Every day, we face decisions and answers—some simple and some challenging—that we must live with. While we can’t always arrive at the correct answer, we can cultivate healthy practices and a mindset to achieve better outcomes consistently. This workshop will engage students through activities and transferable lessons that teach strategies to help them become better decision-makers and problem-solvers.
“The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live.” -Flora Whittemore
Pillar 5: Change & Norms
To unlock our full potential, we must embrace change. Society and personal norms shape our perspectives, often guiding how we perceive and interact with the world. While some norms may benefit certain groups and individuals, they can unintentionally harm others.
In this workshop, participants will explore how norms and biases are formed and the profound impact they have on individuals and communities. We will also discuss the importance of recognizing these patterns and taking intentional steps to foster positive change, ensuring that individuals and communities can transition from surviving to thriving. This session serves as a call to challenge the status quo and harness the power of transformation to build a more inclusive and flourishing world for all.“It is not until you change your identity to match your life blueprint that you will understand why everything in the past never worked.” -Shannon L. Alder
Pillar 6: Success & Failure
Throughout our lives we will all face situations that will either make us or break us. Life is full of challenges. Each challenge tests who we are, and how we choose respond to challenges affects our life’s trajectory. We commonly hear about the strong connection between mental toughness and highly successful people, but we never hear about the steps necessary to achieve either one. This workshop will show students how to increase mental resilience and persistence in order to achieve greater overall success. This workshop will also touch on comfort levels, the power of perspective, and the importance of resource maximization.
“When we long for a life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.” -Peter Marshall
Pillar 7: flightunit
flightunit is not just our organizational name; it embodies a powerful philosophy for achieving both personal and professional success. In this workshop, we will focus on the key steps needed to elevate oneself and unlock their full potential. Students will be introduced to the five types of people that make up a flightunit, each essential for consistent growth and success: the Mentor, Connector, Companion, Realist, and Doer. Together, these roles form a strong foundation for success, empowering individuals to thrive and continuously move forward.
“Teamwork is the secret that makes common people achieve uncommon results.”-Ifeanyi Enoch Onuoha
